The Enterprise Trekkers snapped their 7 game slide and easily topped the
Jefferson Park Penguins; the final score was 9 to 3.
Enterprise took the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 2
runs. After an out was recorded, Rafael Palmeiro started the attack as he
drew a walk. Cliff Floyd was next and he doubled. Bengie Molina then
reached on an error which scored a run. Sean Casey stepped in and he would
hit into a force play scoring the final run of the inning. Both teams
totaled 7 on the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Jose Lima(6-2) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings.
Brandon Webb(5-3) suffered the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering
6 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
